I Might be mistook (cool word!)
about one of these details, but
wonders never cease:
1. I was playing Music and Dance with CalArts and Alfred Ladzekpo and company, in 2002, and 4, and 7 8 9 10 11….

3. due to that, I ended up getting in a nifty afro-beat band called SOGO TAKEOVER.
4. due to that, I taught some afro-beat music at ACE in 2013.
5. due to THAT, a might a nice clarinet player and due to that
6. We Made Music for 18 again in 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch…
7. ALSO due to WORKING at ACE, I saved some money and could go to Burningman 2014.
8. while there, I met some nice new friends and now I am blessed to play African music with them.
9. and due that, I was able to go to burningman again this year.
dude, JUMP IN THE LINE by HARRY BELAFONTE has um towards the end, “BREAKS” of four beats INSERTED into the 8 (or 4) bar structure of the tune, but, they don’t replace existing bars, they happen ID ADDITION to them. like this:
“take this sentence, this one right here, work work senora, and I do the cha cha, and unlike this dance I have a title.”
and instead, say it this way:
take this sentence
….
….
…. this one right here, work
…
…
…
work senora, and I the
…
…
…
cha cha, and unlike this
…
…
…
dance, I have a title.
(especially if it’s repetitive and is awesome once and is therefore awesome 1000 times in a row, until you’re exhausted, and if you have friends who will do it with you.)
I love how now, after a ways, several friends, and me, still have the “rainbow profile pic” are not in fact gay, while numerous friends who are gay do not have the rainbow pic.

no need to judge and reject yourself for others, let them decide.
be yourself, even if others will judge and reject.
if you judge and reject yourself, it distances you from everyone else, including those who would judge you positively and accept you.

I sorta was reminded this at burningman
I have a friend who just told me they are committed to other projects “through JUNE of next year.”
I simply don’t fathom how that is humanly possible.
here I am, with “no” gigs booked, and very little to do, except look for work, and do the little work I have.
I don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow.
I don’t fathom how one get’s a life like that person.
except maybe they look for things to do and keep going incessantly.
I don’t really do that unless I really want something:)
